SUMMER AUG 01 IN EGYPT- MAGICAL ADVENTURE W/ MAJA

IT WAS INDEED A MAGICAL ADVENTURE TO EGYPT.
We were 19 of my tribe, an incredible group of dancers and we experienced it all.  EGYPT is a constant RevelationClick to Enlarge... Contemplation, Meditation, Curiosity, Magic Adoration, Purification, Mystical. We guess, we Feel, we imagine, we dive into the inner life and travel through Life and death, and we read the amazing love stories of gods, kings, priests and slaves written and stamped on the Walls of eternity.

WE COVERED THE ETERNAL PYRAMIDS and Sphinx,, Egyptian Museum cruised the Nile in the heart Of Egypt to Luxor and Aswan, touched the ancient mysteries at the temples of Karnak, Luxor, Horus and God Sobekh & Haroeris, the Valley of Kings & Queens trying to read and decipher words written in those sacred walls for centuries.

WE HAD A HEALING CELEBRATION at The Philae Temple (Isis Temple), to honor the Mother Goddess of Magic and fertility, danced with Veil and cried all ancient tears.

WE VISITED A NUBIAN VILLAGE, and had a class with the oldest and most amazing Nubian teacher, on Arabic alphabet and numbers. Had the most sensual camel ride all of us in a Caravan through the Nubian Desert, our feet touched the silk golden sands, had the warm desert breeze caress our faces while we were sailing the Felluca on the Nile.

WE EXPERIENCED THE DANCE in a folklore show in Cairo, with Click to enlarge...an authentic Saidi Band in Kom Ombo, w/ a live band in the Nubian village specially set up for us. And they were all fantastic, authentic, primitive, earthy, real. We saw Dina, the goddess Dancer as beautiful as ever, and a russian Belly Dancer, and many times we experienced the Tanura, the Sufi mystical dervish Dance.

WE LIVED THE TASTES, the smells, loved and got hooked on the apple scented SHISHA (the water pipe),  shopped in all the BAZAARS desperately, tried the "chai" the karkade tea w/mint, and  the delicious mango juice, wear a jasmin flower necklace which comes out only once at the end of the day, ate delicious Arabic sweets, and were enchanted by the Egyptian hospitality.

WE BONDED and experienced so much in 10 days. The Magic is glamorous and so powerful.
The True heart of Egypt lay in the mysteries, and who tried the water of the Nile always
come back, and we are ready for another journey. AHLAN MWASAHLAN!!

THE WOMEN OF MY TRIBE.
Here goes some memories from EGYPT WITH LOVE to share.

This is a poem from MARY PIERCE:

"I joined with Maja and others on a trip to the present and to the past,
Closing my eyes to let my senses take control, my memories evermore to last.
I smelled the fragrances of kings, queens, women, children, food and surroundings of years gone by.
Fresh round-bread baking, the incense, the mist of the Nile, the sun and the sky
I opened my heart; I could hear all the sounds, workers at the temples and pyramids, music, dance and even the cries, today's traffic, vendors in the market square, boats on the Nile, time goes slowly but actually flies.
Tasted, enjoyed with the mind, the food prepared by those beautiful people served to kings or peasants or slaves. Satisfied my hunger, consumed every moment, drank in the surroundings, and fulfilled the longings each one craves.
I touched the temple carvings, felt the vibrations of the hours of labor and love, sensed the wild at heart, the meek and the tame. In the market caressed the fabric, the wood, brass, coins and scarves, different but in ways the same.
I saw the dark eyes of the children, their smiles so beautiful, free and alive; the honesty and innocence there to adore, the silky warm sand as it surrounded my bare feet, thoughts racing through your mind, "Did I pass this way before>"
Should this door open for you to pass through, do not hesitate; do not ponder whatever you do,The mystery is enchanting, today as before, very old yet very new. …MARY PIERCE.

…..THE MOST WONDERFUL say ROBERTA BRESSMAN, unbelievable and spectacular adventure…Not only I did bond with all my sisters dancers, but all my senses were alive in Egypt. The history, sights, smells, sounds textures and flavors were remarkable…..the emotions that ran through me, especially at the Temple of Isis, you have touched all of us in such a special way.! Bless you. …

TO GO TO EGYPT WAS BUT A DREAM, Part of the Poem BY SUSIE BUTTERFLY

From the moment we got there, things happened fast
It seems we were transported to times gone past
To each one of us a lesson was learned
Through laughter and tears our goals were earned
Some felt at home, others just passing through
It was a special time, for me for you…
We bonded together, these separate souls
And for a time became one, and we were whole
Some will return and some will move on
But we'll never forget this summer we've grown
Egypt touched us all one way or the other
May the lessons learned there, go on forever
I can't believe it is over now
It has come and gone but again somehow
I wake up each day expecting more
What sights today will we explore?
As I close my eyes I can picture it still
The sights, the sounds and all of the thrills;
If you listen closely you can almost hear
Gladys(our guide), calling "MAJA"
The one who brought us all there… BY SUSY

>>>>>And all the words I received as "Unforgettable Memories... The Best trip of my Life....I got back transformed ..... and so on and so on....."
