| FROM ZAZA ( cARMEN CRESPO) (FL) .....Wanted to thx you for the wonderful trip,I really had a great time.I'm recommending your trip to everyone! The camel ride ,the food, the grand hotels, the boat on the Nile, the shows, the markets, everything was an adventure,I had the time of my life! I want to thank you for your wonderful video, I was able to show everyone what we saw, and did.As soon as I can I will send you copies of my photos.Thank you for taking so much of your personal time to arrange, and meet all our needs. I felt very safe, I would return one day again, without any hesitation.I only regret not shopping more, next time I will have the experience.I have always loved Egypt from the time I was a child.I have always loved its past(that was obvious, poor Omar!),but now I"m in love with its present. Thank you for showing me your beautiful country. The travel agency out did it self with up grades,I was amazed at some of our hotels.THIS trip was more than I ever expected.I felt Omar was very informative and confirmed all I ever read about Egypt,he was very kind, and protective. If anyone thinks Egypt is not a place to visit they can read this-IT"S ONE OF THE SAFEST PLACES I HAVE EVER VISITED!Having police escort really calm me down, and helped to relax me faster. Please note that the dance class we took was one of my highlights. Thank you so much. I"m doing the dance with them as a treat from Egypt. .......If you plan India, send me your info,I may consider it,so does Belinda.I also want to say I really liked our group,Had a dream we went to your house for a party,I guess we all got along, THANK YOU FOR THE TRIP OF A LIFE TIME.ZAZA ******************************** |

| FROM SHARON IN CALIFORNIA…… ..........I loved the trip Maja and am so glad I found out about it online in time to be a part of it. KarNak was the high point for me, but here are a few others: The smell of the Nile from the top deck of the cruise ship at dawn. The interesting birds. The last dancer we saw in Cairo "Amazonia". The lesson from Raquia Hassan. Watching Cairo life from the 18th floor balcony at the Conrad. Thanks so much for making it possible for me at such a reasonable cost. ********************************************************* |
| FROM LINDA (PA).......Just a note to give you my evaluation
report for the Egypt trip with Maja’s group on August 7-16, 2005. First of all the airplane was just fine – EgyptAir The accommodations were upgraded in every instance and I really liked that. The JW Marriott in Heliopolis was fantastic and I only wish I could have walked around and seen more of it, including the pool. So busy from the time we got there that I never even got to walk around. But, it was very nice. Rooms were nice sized and in excellent “new” condition. Our guide, Omar Farouk, was very, very good. Very gentlemanly and went over and above the “guide” that he was. I left my purse on a boat and he ran out to get it right away. But, he told me later, just as he was running back to the boat, they called him and said the purse was there. He got it for me. I left my new National Geographic Egypt book on the bus in Aswan and he tried to get it for me but he thought I had left it on the bus in Cairo. No luck in getting it. Later, I realized it had been on the bus in Aswan but it was too late. I fainted due to heat exhaustion and he grabbed and held me up before I fell to the ground and took wonderful care of me. He kept checking on how I was for the next few days, making sure I was up to seeing everything. Whenever we went shopping, he watched over all of us. He was excellent in his presentation of history and the Pharonic age. It was a joy to listen to him. He was very proud of his heritage and enjoyed sharing it with us. He was a credit to the Egyptian people and certainly made us all feel welcome. He was like a mother hen watching over us at all times. Our upgrade to the Mojito on the Nile was very nice and we enjoyed it very much. The Nile Cruise was excellent. Our flights to Aswan and Sharm El Sheik and back to Cairo were very uneventful (which is good). The thing I particularly liked was Ahmed (with STI) and Omar taking care of our luggage and us not having to do anything but take the boarding pass from them and get on the plane. The luggage was taken care of upon our arrival and we didn’t have to be lugging it around. Our hotel in Sharm el Sheik was a little disappointing (even though it was an upgrade – Marriot Beach). The lobby was beautiful but the rooms were not very clean and it could use a refurbishing. However, the grounds and beach were delightful and it truly is a resort paradise. |

| Our guide there was very nice (Ahmed) I think. He certainly
was very accommodating in taking us out for the evening, first
shopping, and then to 1,001 Arabian nights. I was fearful at
first about going, but once there was comfortable. Our Conrad Hilton hotel in Cairo was very nice and right across from the Nile. We enjoyed the Citadel visit and once again had Omar who enthralled us with the history once again. I want to also tell you that Ahmed #1, who met us at the airport on August 8 and then again when we returned from Sharm el Sheik, was very attentive to all of us as well. Very charming man. On the first night we went to a restaurant at the Bazaar and one of the other Linda’s got caught up with one of the shopkeepers and lost us. After 20 minutes of sitting at the table and ordering one of the girls realized that Linda was missing. Maja our leader told Ahmed and he went out and found her (amazing). She joined us and was glad to be back with the pack. With all those people and only just meeting us hours before, he did a great job. I think the security on the buses made us feel very comfortable. I do want to tell you that one of the highlights of my daughter and my trip was the night show at the pyramids. It really was very nice and it capped the end of our vacation. Maja did a great job for all of us and she is to be commended for putting it together. I was never disappointed and had a very memorable tour. Having thought about canceling when the bombing occurred, I am glad that I did not. The Egyptian people are very friendly and I came away with a very warm feeling for all of them. Thanks.
