I just arrived with my Caravan to Egypt 2005 with the nicest fun group, and jumped into another plane to Mother INDIA for my adventure vacation, energizing, healing journey. With DANEESH, my super power driver, we drove into the heart of RAJISTHAN ..Into the heart of the desert, to ancient times, to the roots of the folklore, the authentic... Exotic and magical. Land of legends and myths --
It’s a challenging adventure to drive on these amazing roads, to experience the hours, days, kilometers of life time most astonishing mystery of the Thar desert, the pink Jaipur, the blue Jodhpur, the honey colored Jaiselmar, the white and so much green of Udaipur and the most hospitable and spiritual people.
All those names sing into my heart and open up to memories that we want to reach ….so we drink of these images. It impregnates the soul, the spirit, fills up the eyes.
Mother India gave us so much …is the OM, the shiva – shakti, the krishna, the yoga, and guru, the rituals, the incense, the bazaars, the camels, elephants, the goddess cow …the women in their sarees and jewelry, the breath of ancient lands, the dance and movements, the delight of the cithara and the precision of the thousands mudras…. all these names resonates in our pores, and our spirituality grew up with them..

Rajastan and their folklore, and the vision of their women in gypsy flowers dresses, covered in veils and the colors are so bright, so bright that it makes my heart dance, the light of the mirrors in their cholis shining in the sun, their jewelry tingling , carrying jars of water, their children…. or guarding their sheep.
THEY move together in tribes like a dance. It s a vision of Beauty and will stay in my heart and in my movements…… like an example of strength and endurance. They are the Real keepers of the soul of India.
INDIA is the impact of the visual, the colors, the hospitality of its people…..their kindness, their turbans & their beautiful looks..The Bazaars oh my god, oh my god, oh my god…The camel carts and the streets jam packed w/ cars.. Bicycles… pigs… rickshaws… cows… sheep s…and their food touch all the senses.
Thousands of pilgrims in colorful clothes going to the Ram Devra Temple…….largest holly festival gathering in Rajasthan Very moving to see them waving,. chanting and determined, walking days of distance to pay homage to their gods.

I experienced … AGRA –… the majesty and the beauty of the Love Story of the Taj Mahal and the transparency of the marble
JAIPUR for the 3rd time…..the best shopping ever – and a voluptuous ride by elephant to visit the city palace –
PUSHKAR so white ….surrounds a holly lake which is said to have appeared when Brahma dropped a Lotus flower. Such a friendly, laid back, looks and feel like a 1960’s hippie - flower power- I LOVE YOU village.. .
The fort hotel in KHIMSAR. Owned by the original descendents of the maharajas. I felt a real Maharana, in this ancient Palace, surrounded by …the song of thousands of birds/. A dream dinner on the terrace, watching a folklore dance and music, in the company of the descendants of the Maharaja. JAISELMAR surrounded by a Fort, unwinding narrow streets and hand made mirror patchwork embroidery everywhere. The mystery of the Thar Desert and the Dunes, untouchable, invaded by thousand of tourists to ride camels and trek on the Dunes.

JODHPUR, stayed at the Ajit Bhawan, the first Heritage Hotel of India, an oasis of warm hospitality and so much charm. …I had the best Omelet at the most famous Omelet Shop at the Clock Tower Bazaar…the houses are all painted in blue …so magical
UDAIPUR……so green, surrounded by mountains… this magical lake in the middle of the city... the most amazing LAKE PALACE in the center of the Lake…..where I indulged myself with an unforgettable dinner and Rajistani folklore show.
I am leaving India with the sadness of VARANASI in my heart. It’s an attempt against universal health. Holly shit. We only felt dismay and horror of so much dirt, filth and abandon. The shame of human being to live on those conditions. I wish it was different. …….The best was my visit to the Durga temple. … so beautiful
I love INDIA with all my heart……I will go back next year… .Come and join Maja next year……in this incredible experience of a life time…..let s feel like a Maharani!....
