Insights from the Spirit of the Tribes # 3. ... from some of the dancers....that makes the World move on. I had the most wonderful time this weekend at the Spirit of the Tribes! It was even more amazing than last year, and i didn't know that was possible!!! Thank you……… Alyssum Pohl, Lex. KY …..The show was incredible. You are so gifted and have a great ability to bring so many people together in a beautiful way. I really admire you for all of your love and commitment to the dance. Julie fields………. …Maja! The convention was amazing - I learned a ton and saw the best dancing I've ever seen. Now I am excited to work on dancing every day. From MIRIAM ……Maja, l recognized so many girls and performers from last year. lt gave me great joy to welcome them back for another amazing reunion. What l enjoyed most was watching everyone have fun dancing, buying and selling. The Spirit was definitely in the air !Yes, l was disappointed not to see you girls dance the gypsy because l knew all the work and time envolved and l also knew how beautiful it was to watch..Even with that, all l can remember is that every one walking in and out of that Arena last week-end had a smile on their face. ..CARMEN …………Thank you. Wonderful to be part Peace, Johanna & Loud Zoo…….. …….I just wanted to let you know that my students who were able to attend your workshop had some very nice feedback about it and were happy they were able to be there. Hopefully it was as successful as your other two "Tribes" events. I know it was a lot of work and stress, and that you are taking some time now to relax and 'chill' for a bit. You deserve it.  My students especially enjoyed your class and told me how much they liked meeting you....."A very interesting and talented lady!".  I am sorry that more of us were not able to attend.  Hopefully we can plan for the whole group next year..JULIANNE BATTAGLIA……… ……Thanks again and hope to see you soon. ……..We enjoyed the Spirit of Tribes again this year. The classes were awesome & the dancing was incredible. Perhaps a student performance night on friday night with a more casual hafla atmosphere would solve the problem with the length of the show. Then the teachers, guest artists, and their troupes would dance on Sat night in a most incredible show.  Thank you very much because I know the logistial nightmare putting together an event of this size can be. I personally look forward to next year. As someone who teaches almost everyday it's really hard to find the time and money to escape and travel to different places to study with diferent teachers. it's so nice to be able to spend the weekend with such a wonderful variety of knowledgable women. i'm so glad you liked our piece. i was a little apprehensive about how it may be received. it's still a work in progress. hoping to have a full length stage production ready in the fall. i've been wanting to send you a copy of last year's "one veiling" for you to view. i feel like you and i have similar asethetics and that you may enjoy seeing it. your piece was absolutely breath-taking! so much beauty! thank you so much. it was so lovely…. ……RAKADU …Hi Maja: just a note to comment on the Spirit of the Tribes, I ve been to the 3 of them, and this was the best, the dancers and the show were excellent. more profesionals than anything, the costumes were beautiful and simple, I was impressed by the color,and simplicity of some of them. I liked the big troupe Awalin what a team spirit!! you can tell there is harmony and peace in them , by the togetherness when they dance, I liked the classes too, I took Dalia,s she was great. I recognize the amount of work and planning these event requires, and I admire you for that, as always you have my respect and admiration,…..but anyway you achieved the goal of bringing the artists together and creating that aura of beauty and freedom, keep the spirit up.   Eugenia. ………I just wanted to say I had a great time at the Spirit of the Tribes event! It was my first time going and I brought a couple friends and my mom too. We had a good time and enjoyed the show very much! Yes, me and the other girls I came with loved all of the teachers and performers very, very much and we went home very inspired and rejuvenated. .....Thank you so much for your kind words in your e-mail. I find that as the snow continues up here in the north, my mind drifts often to the warmth not only felt in the weather in Flordia, but to the warmth felt at Spirit of the tribes. Each instructor had so much to share of their unique style and history of the dance. I was so touched by the experience that I feel words are not enough . I know that things seemed a little hectic but it was fun. Thanks so much for a wonderful event……. Johanna …I finally made it to the workshop this year and I really enjoyed myself. It wasn't easy but I tried to pace myself so there was plenty of time for fun and shopping in addition to the wonderful classes. I especially enjoyed Dalia Carella, Jill Parker and the FCBD dancers. Unfortunately, I didn't get there in time for your class.   At the performance your troupe was absolutely gorgeous; such attention to detail and finesse - very lovely to watch. The presentation was very creative the way some dancers are featured at different times in small groups; then merge back into the whole and others come forward - all the color, and patterns of movement; it reminded me of a Kaliedescope..... the Riel Dancers from Tampa ....
